The DHS not only issued that report, but also an earlier memo defining dozens of groups, members of animal rights organizations, black separatists, tax protesters and others as "threats."
That item, the "Domestic Extremism Lexicon" reportedly was rescinded almost immediately, but Benjamin Sarlin of The Daily Beast recently obtained and published online a copy of the unclassified memo, dated March 26, 2009.
It defines the "tax resistance movement" – also referred to in the report as the tax protest movement or the tax freedom movement – as "groups or individuals who vehemently believe taxes violate their constitutional rights. Among their beliefs are that wages are not income, that paying income taxes is voluntary, and that the 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which allowed Congress to levy taxes on income, was not properly ratified."
It states that tax protesters "have been known to advocate or engage in criminal activity and plot acts of violence and terrorism in an attempt to advance their extremist goals."
Apparently, the DHS analyzes the "threat" level of Internet news websites, like WorldNetDaily, for the lexicon defines "alternative media" as "a term used to describe various information sources that provide a forum for interpretations of events and issues that differ radically from those presented in the mass media products and outlets"

When the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington DC were attacked on 9-11-2001, the conspiracy that "Bush Knew" began to grow. That was during President Bush's watch.
Today it is President Barrack Hussein Obama's watch and if attacks occur under his term as President then we have to question of who, what, when, where, why, and how? Furthermore we need to guard against the temptation of theories based on assumption instead of theories based on fact.

Obama asks federal judge to throw out lawsuit against Iran filed by American hostages
Apparently the President will stop at nothing to please the mullahs. "US wants Iran hostage suit tossed out," from The Associated Press, April 22 (thanks to Sr. Soph):
The Obama administration has asked a federal judge to throw out a lawsuit against Iran filed by Americans held hostage at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran 30 years ago.
The request comes in a $6.6 billion class-action lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Washington. Fifty-two American diplomats and military officials were held captive for more than a year at the end of Jimmy Carter's presidency by a group of Islamist students who supported the Iranian revolution.
The hostages were released on Jan. 20, 1981, just minutes after Ronald Reagan was sworn in as the new president.
In court papers filed Tuesday night without any announcement, the Justice Department argued that the agreement to release the hostages, known as the Algiers Accords, precluded lawsuits against Iran.
A similar lawsuit brought by the Iranian hostages was dismissed in 2000 after the government successfully argued it was banned by the Algiers Accords. The hostages argue that legislation passed by Congress last year and signed into law by President George W. Bush gives them the right to bring private lawsuits.
But the Justice Department argued that the law does not mention the Algiers Accords, much less explicitly repeal them....
Astounding. Obama's Justice Department didn't have to intervene in this. The fact that it did indicates that not stepping on Iranian toes is a very, very high priority for Obama.
